Goldfield city was founded  in 1892 when rich gold  fields were found in the area. But, as with other settlements, the frenetic days  of searching for the precious mineral  came to an end when the vein  began to run out. Just five years after its birth, the town was quickly abandoned, the miners moving elsewhere
and Goldfield became a ghost town.
